Changing Your Password

Your new password must comply with the Medway Password Policy. We recommend that your new password also follows our Password Guidelines.

You can change your Medway password at any time on the Account settings page.

Resetting Your Password

If you forget your password you can reset it in three steps:

  1. Follow the forgotten password link in the login area of the Medway Home page.
    You will be taken to the Reset Password page.
  2. Enter the email address that you used to register with Medway and press the Reset Password button.
    An email containing a security code and instructions for the final step will be sent to you.
  3. Follow the link in the email to enter your security code and create a new password.
    A confirmation email will be sent to you and you will now be able to log in from the Medway Home page.
Password Policy

Medway is committed to the protection of patient data.  The new password policy helps to secure patient data by requiring that every Medway account has a strong password.

  • Passwords must be between eight and 128 characters long
  • Passwords must contain at least one upper case letter, one lower case letter and one number
  • Passwords must not contain any of the following words: admin, administrator, admn, doctor, med-way, medway, password, pathology, path-way, pathway, radiology, result, results, user, usr
  • Passwords must not contain your username
Password Guidelines
Please follow these password guidelines:
  • Change your password periodically, Medway recommends changing your password every three months
  • Do not use anniversaries, family names or phone numbers in passwords as they are very easy to guess
  • Use a pass phrases instead of a password, your pass phrase can be up to 128 characters long (almost as long as a text message)
  • When choosing a password:
    • Includes a special character (such as ! @ # $ % ^ & *)
    • Do not use obvious words or phrases such as 'Medway', 'password' or 'letmein'
    • Do not repeat characters
  • Do not tell anybody your password
  • Do not use your Medway password anywhere else
  • Do not write your password down or enter it into your phone
